Conveniency seems to be a double edged sword. For one, in order for a company to have access to all the shows and content, it needs to have the resources to purchase the rights to stream that content, in other words, that company needs to be rich. I think the reason to why there are many different streaming devices, is because it would be far too expensive for a company to purchase rights to all streaming content out there, and therefore cause the subscription prices to increase for the consumer. Instead of having one company owning all shows, having multiple streaming companies with a particular set of shows and content would make the subscription prices lower, as the company doesn't have to pay extra to have all other shows included. I think having more companies gives the consumer more options to decide from in terms of price range, and content.
